Thumbs up Shack -- Here's Tom With The Weather

A quick post to say that, after a couple of days playing, the new Shack album ("Here's Tom With The Weather") is a corker and could be their finest yet.

Well worth checking out if you like a dreamy, semi-acoustic sound remaniscent of Arthur Lee's Love with a nod to The Byrds and Simon & Garfunkel.

I have HMS Fable, rarely gets a listen, probably sell it to be honest.

Is Heres Tom better? and how does it differ?

To be honest, if you didn't find "HMS Fable" to your tastes, I'm not sure there's anything in "Here's Tom..." that will change your mind.

It's a more of the same but a little bit more relaxed. Not so many catchy chorus's as 'HMS...' (perhaps that put you off) and so not as poppy...it's closer to (the album previous) "Waterpistol" than "HMS Fable"

Probably best to give it a miss if you didn't find much in "HMS Fable" .

I listened to HMS a couple of times, it just didnt seem to get under my skin, its typical scouser rock I suppose and I preferred the Roses and The La's and even O***s.
I dont mind a catchy chorus though
