Know of any decent soul collections

Just trying to get a collection going of old soul stuff (got James Brown)

Sam and Dave
Wilson Picket
Maceo and the macks
Jackson Sisters
Some "rare groove" stuff.

All the old classics...etc

Must be decent recordings . No LIVE stuff.

Cheers !

Phil.

Look out for a series of CD's entitled 'Mastercuts'

They are pretty slick & cover most of the Funk/Soul/Rare Groove genres...

U can get 'em from Amazon....

Usually, full versions (no mixing)

There's quite a few releases.... do a search on 'Mastercuts' on the Amazon site.

example:
