Re: Rush - Snakes & Arrows live DVD....

I don't really need ANOTHER dvd of Rush in concert, but as it's in hi def I think I'll have to add it to my Xmas prezzie list.
I saw them in Manchester on that tour & have to say I enjoyed it immensely, more so than the R30 concert.

Re: Rush - Snakes & Arrows live DVD....

The Manchester show was brilliant - what an arena it is as well. I went to 4 of the 7 UK S&A shows and I thought Manchester was the best - closely followed by Glasgow of course

Need to get my skates on and get a Blu Ray player now

Been a fan since Farewell to Kings in 77!

Maybe buying a PS3 would be my best bet for a player

Manchester WAS a great gig. Superb atmosphere.

Will definitely be buying it as a memento. Anyone think they'll be touring again? Having never seen them live before that I'm still hoping to get to see some of the real oldies (2112, La Villa Strangiato, etc) before the band get too old

(i know, I know.... I should have gone to see the R30 shows)

Re: Rush - Snakes & Arrows live DVD....

Personally I think they will tour again - at worst maybe a farewell tour but I think they will play Europe again.

Looks like a retrospective 3 is coming out featuring stuff from Presto onwards - Power Windows site says it could be a cd/dvd combo!

I cant believe they swapped Entre Nous (one of their most underrated songs) for Ghost of A Chance on the second leg.

The medley on R30 of 2112/By Tor/La Villa/Xanadu was one of the best moments ever at a Rush gig! Xanadu sounded it's best ever.

Anyway getting carried away here

Dont know if anyone managed to get a hold of the excellent Backstage Secrets show that was on US tv recently - was 5 one hour long specials on all the different parts making up the S&A tour (Lights, Sound, Video etc etc). Its brilliant and its a real pity it wasnt included on the upcoming S&A DVD.
