Thanks: Gave 44, Got 139 | 666 the number of the plane ?
Whhooaa, Bruce dickinson, lead singer of Iron maiden on TV all dressed up as a proper pilot and flying the poor XL refugees to safety
He even provided croissants, what a dude.
I met him once in a pub in Darlington having a pint and listening to the jukebox playing paranoid by Black Sabbath.

The Flight of Icarus anyone?
He flew the England football team to one of their matches a couple of years ago, and is apparently a full time pilot now (he also has his radio programme). Add in his fencing skills and it is clear he is a rather talented bloke.

Bri | No arguement here.
I'm convinced Bruce is a good guy and all that, but any one of the seagulls around Aberdeen could stand in for him.

But ... this isn't really charity/voluntary work is it?
Its his paid job as a pilot of chartered flights - so just another day at the office for our Bruce

perhaps not, but I imagine it would be quite difficult finding commercial pilots to go into a war (semi?) zone

I work at Cardiff Airport and not so long back we had Iron Madains tour plane in. Inside was set up for for a standard 235 passenger config though so not so swanky inside, but the out side was pretty cool to say the least

Weren't they selling tickets for some gigs in Europe, where UK fans could be flown there by Bruce in Ed Force 1?! That would be amazing
I think he also flew Rangers to a European match last year... he's a busy man.
