Thanks: Gave 52, Got 70 | Foo Fighters Wembley Gig Blu-Ray, cancelled?
As I couldn't go to this was really looking forward to this... the DVD is due out on the 25th August, and up until a few days ago the Blu-Ray was listed at Play also.
Now Play states the other as 'coming soon'... as this was shown in cinemas in HD you'd think that there wouldn't have been a delay.
As desperate as I am to have this, no way am I buying the DVD to only find out the BD is out a month or so later.
Anyone know the reason?
Cheers.

I split up with my GF the day after this gig, Perhaps they think it might bring back painful memories
But seriously, I don't know.

15th September for the Blu Ray according to overseas forums. Probably hoping people can't wait and buy both.

It's really really good! | Huh! And how many concerts have you been to where the sound was projected in 5.1?
God help us if it did.

God help us if it did. | Well i was at the Saturday concert and I had crowd noise in every direction... that alone makes it feel more like being there.
I listened to the opening in stereo and then with my amp's funny ProLogic II Music mode enabled and the second time may not have sounded as much like listening to an album, but it felt more like the original experience, which is why I bought the Bluray rather than the DVD.
I've now watched it twice through and I am really happy I bought it. I've not seen any other live music Blurays, but I would be surprised if any of them are as well thought out as this was. Cameras everywhere (including the stadium's spidercam), it sounds really good and you see far more stage detail than was possible at the show itself. Not to mention a killer show.
