Kings Of The Wild Frontier by Adam and The Ants. Such a shame the group disbanded prematurely.

Afraid not . Apart from one or two songs that would be at the bottom of the barrel, I think the man was a musical genius.

I adored that album when it came out. Haven't listened to it in years though.

...I'm going to play it tonight

Lee, I admire any man who can admit that.

...and I did [original vinyl].

Surprisingly, my feeling is that it has stood the test of time. Of course it sounds 80s but one could argue it was ahead of it's time and influenced so much. It's so clever and far, far from being the throwaway pop that it it categorised as by many.

I reckon leej is a genius for bringing this [back] to our attention.

Re: Best album of all time?

Love threads like this because hardly anyone pays the slightest bit of attention to the actual thread title and end up listing numerous albums instead of one

Re: Best album of all time?

Every forums that has this type of thread always has to have posters who write 20 albums down when only asked for one.
Its dead easy, you're leaving the house to go and live on a desert island for a year, you've got 30 seconds to decide on one album to take - which one is it?

Re: Best album of all time?

Powerage better than ...Blood? Obviously.

NOT.

And it is a fact that "For those..." is actually better than both of them.

Re: Best album of all time?

Powerage is often reffered to as the 'connossieur's choice' of AC/DC albums.
Obviously you have to be a connossieur to appreciate it so I'll forgive you this time

Re: Best album of all time?

...mind you, Highway to Hell must be a contender, purely for "Touch too Much". I could listen to that for ever.

So could I. It was always being played at a rock night club I used to frequent in my teens.

Sadly, once again, the reasons are slightly sordid.

If you Want Blood is one the best live albums ever, and as such, AC/DC's best. None of their studio albums are 'complete'. They always tend to start well, then sort of 'fizzle out' on each side.

Halfway through, then at the end to the CD generation............
