Karajan BPO Mozart's Requiem on SACD

Anyone know how good this is? Anyone seen any reviews? I'm tempted to order it on spec alone but I'd like to see if anyone knows anything about it.

Cheers,

Dunc

Did you order this Dunky? I'd be interested to know how good the recording/remastering is.

'Fraid not - was somewhat discouraged by the lack of response from forum-goers.

To be honest, I don't have an SACD player, so for the moment I'd only be getting it for the CD layer (I need a good recording of the Requiem anyway), under the assumption that I'll be getting an SACD player at some point in the future. So my incentive for getting it isn't terribly high, unless someone tells me it's absolutely gobsmackingly excellent.

I might order it then to try out on my new Pioneer 757. Kleiber's Beethoven 5th is also getting a SACD release at the end of the month.

Really! Ooh, that sounds very tempting... even without an SACD player!

I'd very much like to hear your views if you do get the Karajan Requiem, though.
