Blur's Think Tank

Blur's Think Tank

Been playing this for a couple of weeks now (thanks to the P2P network) and I have to say it's superb.

A slow burner, granted, but it's really hooked me in. The strange thing is, despite Coxon's departure, I think you can still hear his influence throughout. I don't know, perhaps I was expecting the new Blur to return to the jaunty pop of 'The Great Escape' but 'Think Tank' retains a lo-fi sound, albeit very polished, with more than a dash of, er, funky beats.

I thought I'd had it with Blur after the patchy '13' but 'Think Tank's on pre-order so that's one sale gained thanks to P2P.

Nice post, will make sure I get it as soon as I can. Don't agree with your views on "13" though.

They are never going to get away (musically) from Graham
