Cool Music Used On TV Information Wanted

Before that use to run programs through the night on ITV they use to play a tune or a song before pulling the plug for the night. A remember one I think it was May Mckenna who sang it but I can find nothing about it. I know it’s a long shoot but does any one know of it and can give me some information on it.

Also about the same time they played some music between programs at Christmas which was in keeping with the season I do not mean the well known stuff.
Anybody any information on that.

I know that one of the instrumental tracks that they play on Nightscreen (is that what it's called?) in the middle of the night on ITV is by the genius band that is "Vertical Horizon". There are actually lyrics to the song, but they just loop an instrumental version.

Is that one of the ones you're after? If so, I can dig out the track name later for you.

Vertical Horizon are a recent band - kicked off in mid to late 1990s, IIRC. I'm hoping they release some more stuff soon

But the track as it is played on Nightscreen makes it sound like lift music from the 80s

Cool

Well the first one I seem to remember the word so if some one came up with title I will probably know.

As to the other on it is like when some one ask me about a film they can vaguely remember I try and find something that fits there description after a bit of trial and error.
