Anyone know what happened to this band ? Not heard anything from them for a couple of years now and their website seems stuck in time.

Just spinning "Chrome" and it really is a fantastic album.

The shoe-gazing revival starts here....hopefully.

I was just listening to their debut album 'Ferment' the other day.
Still sounds great today. 'Black Metallic' and 'I Want To Touch You' fave tracks.
Not too sure what they are up to now, as i did lose interest a few years back. Apparently they were rather popular during the nineties on American college radio. A shoe gazing revival?, now that would be something....I shall go and dig out my Ride, Chapterhouse, Slowdive and My Bloody Valentine albums.
Probably don't have enough hair anymore to get that floppy fringe though.

I have never heard them, but they do have a website, I started reading it but it was all red on black and the light was bad. I think its actually www.thecatherinewheel.com but dont quote me.

Said they were a bit like Floyd.....mind you isnt everyone.

Good little band Catherine Wheel. To some extent Bush came along and stole their thunder but that's life I guess.

Did you know that the lead singer is the brother of Iron Maiden's Bruce Dickinson?

Bruce 'air raid siren' Dickinson. Met him in my local in Darlington, we used to go there cos they always played Sabbath etc on the dukebox. I was well into Iron Maiden and couldnt believe my eyes. Apparently he often used to turn up there.
