Not in any paticular order;

Steve White - Paul Weller

Dave Grohl - Nirvana, Foo's & QOTSA

and of course,

Alan White - OASIS (OK I admit his older brother Steve is better, but don't tell anyone I said that )

Regards,

Oh Yeah, How could I forget Keith Moon aswell. I must also say his replacement zack (Ringo's son) is also a fine drummer, some say better than his dad.

The guy out of Blink 182, Travis Somthing. I know the music isn't exactly the world's best thought out but some of his drumming parts are stupidly hard, and he's just as good live.

Actually that's true, most drummers who can drum like that deserve respect maybe not for their artisitic expression but for sheer technical skills and endurance.

I remember seeing Green Day twice in one year all those years ago and being astounded each time at how their drummer could do those insanely fast fills and rolls for 2 hours and not drop a beat!

Ted Parsons - Prong
Chuck Biscuits - Danzig

Both very different in style but overwhelming in their delivery.

Greatest drummer ever (IMHO) Steve Gadd.
He did a lot of session work in the 70's for Paul Simon.

Next would have to be Neil Peart of Rush.
Also, the drummer from Live is awesome too. Can't remember his name off hand, but I could go and look at one of the CD's I have.

Saw Steve Gadd many years ago on the S&G reunion tour of'82.Not bad,but the craziest drummer I ever saw live is the immortal Clem Burke of Blondie.

Favourite drummer.

Jeff Porcaro.
Famous for playing in Toto but was a top class session player on thousands of well known tracks.

must second John Bonham. Interesting that Phil Collins' name hasn't popped up - I'm sure he fancies himself the best drummer.

In that case, I'd like to be the first to inform him, by fax of course, that he's not.
