The vaselines

Mad, bad scottish band that split after their debut album. Punk flavoured sex and debautchery. 'Rory ride me raw' is a song about a rough pedal cycle saddle
I was a horse, about too many pillsThe album is pop tinged and has great melodies, produced on what sounds like a scratchy four track, but its definitely not over produced. Raw, like all good bands should be.

History of the Vaselines, have a listen and have a laugh. They are nutters.

I have listened to this album more and more as weeks pass and it is really growing on me.

Nirvana did three covers from this album....'jesus dont want me for a sumbeam', 'Mollys Lips' and ' Turnaround ' (originally by Devo??).

It really is timeless Punk, when they sing 'I dont care' you know they dont give a f**k, they just want to laugh and make tunes.

Give em a listen, they only made the one album and were gone.

I've never seen a bigger collection of band names that i've never heard of!!!!!!!!

How many CD's have you got?

(Not to mention Vinyl )

Never really counted them, but I am guessing around a thousand, give or take a few hundred. I might take up blood drinking next, I think its very fashionable these days
