Your Last Ever CD...

If, for some reason (struggles to find one!! ), you were put into a position where you had to make do with 1 CD, with 12 tracks on for the rest of your life, what would they be??

I'm sure this has been done before, but I was just curious after exploring some of my older CD's and discovering some truly great tracks that I haven't heard for ages!!

Think mine would be... (in no particular order ):-

1. Energy 52 - Cafe del Mar
2. Toploader - Achilles Heel
3. Roni Size - Brown Paper Bag
4. Faithless - Insomnia
5. Oasis - Sunday Morning Calls
6. Rob D - Clubbed to Death
7. Robbie Williams - Angels
8. Reef - Put Your Hands Up
9. Freefall - Skydive (Warrior Remix )
10. Franchino - 999
11. Tenacious D - Tribute to the Greatest Song in the World
12. Limp Bizkit - Rollin'

Hmmm... 12 tracks isn't really long enough. Never mind...

So, anyone else??!!

K.

Sorry if I disappointed you

Seriously though - it probably isn't that clear - if one of the Music mod's reads this could you please change "album" to "CD"??

Thanks,

K.

I recognise less than a quarter of the tracks mentioned, so I guess that I'm the one who's off message on this

Which one are you after?

It is weird, Galaxia must be the only Ferry Corsten production that wasn't licensed to a million compilation mix CDs

That's the problem, I don't know what it's called :/ I have a mp3 of it, but it's poor quality.

There is another track mixed by Ferry Corsten that I can't find anywhere, not even in the discography I found for him online. It was a dance track but had a very prominent violin in it, unusual. I can't for the life of me remember what it was called though. Must have been out in about 1998-9.

I'm guessing you mean Ferry Corsten's remix of William Orbit's Barber's 'Adagio for Strings'.

As for Galaxia, the remixes that seemed to have gone down best were the Solar Stone or Qattara ones so it's probably one of those that you're after.

I'm pretty sure you are wrong on both counts, sorry

Thanks for trying though.

It isn't Adagio for Strings (I know cause I have it).

I have both the mixes of Galaxia you refer to, it isn't either of those. I have a feeling it is the orignal mix. It's simple, not many instruments, a very soothing track.

Oh, and I did originally hear Galaxia on a friend's compilation CD back in 96 I think.

There are so many good remixes of it too, including 2 cracking ones on the K& D sessions

Have you heard Justin Warfield's My Field Trip To Planet 9 album? I remember it being really good... might dig it out for a listen

I'd pick Juboy's CD, cause I haven't heard very much of it, and if I'm stuck with 1 CD I'd really like to try something new, rather that listening to the same records I've been playing for the last 30 years !

I would like to squeeze a nice Beethoven Piano Sonata in it somewhere though.
