Re: Anyone going to see Broooooooce?

current tour is 2 1/2 hrs

if you look on bruce's website you can see the set lists for each show played.

but if you want it to be a surpise then dont.

I'll be at all 4 UK shows.

Re: Anyone going to see Broooooooce?

I was going to see him at the Emirates until I heard that they will limit the volume.

I've been to several outdoor gigs where they have done the same. I'm all for protecting my hearing but normally all you can hear is people jabbering on around you.

You can't have The Boss at that volume !!!

Re: Anyone going to see Broooooooce?

I envy you, going to see him for the first time. I would advise you to buy tickets for another concert too, try to catch him in Cardiff in case you get the bug.

He is not up to his 4hr shows these days but still manages more audience involvment and communication than anyone else.

I first saw him in 1981, Still remember it clearly - helped by a bootleg CD

Re: Anyone going to see Broooooooce?

Thanks guys

Was a big fan of his older material - Asbury Park, Darkness on the Edge of Town, Born to Run, The River.

Dropped out after he did Nebraska ( - just shows I should have stuck with him).

Always regretted not seeing him over the years. Had kids 15 years ago which put paid to any gig going for a while. Only wanted to go and see him with the E-Street Band so am really chuffed he is on the road with the whole gang.

I'll be checking up on the set lists and getting together some sort of back catalogue so that I can sing along to all the tunes (BTW anyone know which albums most of the tracks are off?) I recognise the really old stuff.... so if anyone can rattle off the album names quickly it would be much appreciated

It's superb. Not the dirgey one from Tracks. Some of the live ones he did live in the 70s/80s. Never seen it live, its become a quest for me

Have you caught him on the new tour yet?

Hey.... out of order there mate

I like 'The River'

Am really looking forward to it now

I missed the initial ticket sales but managed to blag some half decent seats for Old Trafford just last week - South Stand, row five about half way down the pitch. Should be quite a decent view from there... just above the people standing on the pitch. Been logging on to Ticketmaster avery day for over a month now... with only dud seats right at the back available.

Then just one day I log-in and hey presto... decent seats avalable

Re: Anyone going to see Broooooooce?

Sorry lads just my personnel thing, the promise from '76 live is just about passable.
but the river - god damn i hate that song !

I have the cd on my ipod but it's missing that track !

got a ticket for Cardiff but my mates and me rekcon we'll get them on the day.

When they played Crystal Palace a few years back we paid full price but people were wandering around after buying them off touts for a £5 ! so we'll wait.

Just got in to the Dave Matthews Band and I think Bruce and Sony could learn from him and start releasing some of the live stuff like DMB.

Re: Anyone going to see Broooooooce?

spooky

I just this minute dug out my cherished Winterland and gave it to my 16 yr old son, as part of his education. He was unimpressed by Nils' guitar spot on the Because the Night video clip on Springsteen.net so I told him to listen to Prove it all Night, Winterland Dec 15th 1978

If I had a time machine, I can think of no better place to spend 5 hours

My CD is the Crystal Cat master.

I bought the original vinyl album set from a stall in Portabello Road in 1980. It was my first ever bootleg and it cost me a fortune at the time.

Re: Anyone going to see Broooooooce?

Not long now

Anyone know what time the show is likely to start?

And if anyone's going to Old Trafford how are you getting there? Is there a park and ride scheme? After going to City's ground to see U2 I don't fancy another 2 hour wait to get out of the car park.

Might drive to somewhere i can get a bus to the stadium.

You're in for a treat mate. The hype is not hype... he really was THAT good. I just wish I hadn't waited 28 years to go and see him.

Have to say it was one the most memorable gigs I've been to. I can't believe how he manages to get a crowd of 60,000 jumping up and down like he did.

Highlights for me were Promised Land, Badlands, 10th Avenue Freeze Out, She's the One, Born to Run, Because the Night. Hell they were all good!!!!

I took my wife along who only knows a couple of songs... and she thought he was outstanding. I think 'cute' and 'sweet' were how she described him. All-in-all just a fantastic night.
