Metal Intrest?

My little nephew, used to be such a sweetie; quite, athletic, mainstream....he's turned into a MONSTER!...well not quite. He and his pals have got some excellent tracks together on Soundclick (free to listen & also download gratis). OK I'm biased, but appreciate any Metal fans, or those willing to give it a listen, to have a look / listen and feedback here or on the boys site. If you click on any of the songs they play, my favoutite is "They Must Fall (We Are The New Breed)", which has made the top ten at present in the Soundclick metal chart. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/defa...&content=music

If you check out their other page there is an amusing video of them recording their first track - Boyz will be boyz! http://www.soundclick.com/bands/defa...?bandID=795642

Cheers,
BoaT

Re: Metal Intrest?

Cheers Geege..it is good, I agree.

I want to say it reminds me of a line from a scene in an episode from "Men Behaving Badly" when Gary throws a pint of larger in face of the Barmen for making some inappropriate remark "Surprisingly refreshing"! In fact better than that it makes me feel out there!

Re: Metal Intrest?

Nice, really like 'They must fall' especially. You can spot the influences immediately and not only from just one band. The first few moments of the song reminded me of Blind Guardian and Iced Earth.

P-P-S-S; quite like those bands - like the rifs by Iced earth; not too struck on the american vocals and a little too smooth. Like blind guardian - youtubed and reallly liked the vocals on their "Eskimodeth" pretty good.
However, try this from "Bullet for my Valentine" got the balnce just about spot on! Songs called "Hands of Blood" ..It's like the guy just ripped his vocal cords and lungs out gave 'em a dam good seeing too with a heavy duty Rasp file and away you go !

Re: Metal Intrest?

I like Bullet for my Valentine. I have had the chance to listen to a few of their songs and they are damn good. They're like a combination of Power metal+thrash/death+Slipknot. The drums (especially the opening ones ) are quite powerful kinda Grip Inc style.

I do agree the vocals of Blind Guardian and Iced Earth are quite soft compared but the riffs are good. The choruses of BG are quite powerful too. Their best albums are:

BG- Imaginations from the other side.

IE-Burnt offerings/ and /The dark saga.
