Play.com Music Download Service

PlayDigital

192 or 320 Kb/s quality and the prices don't seem too bad. Check out their DRM too:

Do I own a track or album, once I have downloaded it?
Yes. Once a file is downloaded from PlayDigital, it is yours to keep. The difference with a PlayDigital file and a CD, is that if you lose the music or accidentally delete it from your hard drive or MP3 player, you can simply log back on to Play.com and re-download the file from the ‘My Downloads’ section of your account.

Re: Play.com Music Download Service

DRM is the reason I refuse to buy from iTunes - why pay for something when, if you buy the CD, you can do whatever you like with the files, and with a better quality?

Re: Play.com Music Download Service

Let me know what you guys think won't you.

I've been an i-tunes user for aover a year and i'm sick of the DRM issues.

If this is any good i'll use the play.com service as then i can still have the music on my mac (i-tunes) but are also free to copy it to my PSP

Re: Play.com Music Download Service

In my humble opinion, anybody who buys an ipod, deserves an ipod !

There are plenty of mp3 players which wipe the floor with ipods.

I've had the vey underrated Toshiba Gigabeat for two years & though it does have a type of DRM, it's easily undone.

Did I read somewhere that the Play service is quite limited as it only has EMI on it's books??
