Best "Teach yourself piano"-style books?

A friend of mine recently got a piano from her parents. She's eager to learn, but apart from a few quick lessons from a friend, she hasn't had the time/money to be able to arrange many lessons.

Her birthday's coming up, and as one of her gifts, I was thinking of getting her a "Teach Yourself Piano" style book so she can learn the basics by herself on her own time when she gets the urge. But as someone with no musical experience or talent whatsoever, I wouldn't know which book would be the best.

Any suggestions from people who've bought/used them?

A huge thanks in advance.

Have a BUMP on me, I would like to know if anyone has any ideas as well, as my wife has bought herself a piano and I would like to get her such a book....

Not sure about books but there should be plenty of lessons on the web. I find actually watching someone do something easier to learn from than reading a book.

One site I stumbled across when I was contemplating learning - http://www.pianonanny.com/

Seemed to have a good lesson structure at the time.
