Who have you seen?

All this talk of great live bands, and band you are going to see, who have you seen already? Could be interesting!

Machine Head (twice)
Meshuggah
Mary Beats Jane
The Wildhearts (countless times lol)
Sepultura (twice)
Cradle Of Filth (four times)
Immortal
Immolation
Enslaved
Mayhem
Anathema
Cannibal Corpse
Vader
Opeth
Dark Funeral
Marduk
Slayer (twice)
Lamb Of God
Heaven And Hell (Dio/Iommi/Butler/Appice)
Joan Jett (lol)
Motorhead
Dream Theater
Symphony X
Roger Waters (and half of Floyd lol)
Warrior Soul
Slash's Snakepit
Therapy? (at least three times lol)
Headswim
Biohazard
Pride & Glory (Zakk Wylde solo outfit)
Skin
Pantera
Extreme
Skid Row
Corrosion Of Conformity
Terrorvision
White Zombie
Metallica (twice)
Godsmack
Iron Maiden
Trivium
Biomechanical
Megadeth
Kill II This
Blood Divine
Hecate Enthroned
Gomorrah
Emperor
Bal-Sagoth

Think there's a few more I can't remember, and certainly some support bands I can't remember.... Can't belive out of all of them the band I have seen the most time is Cradle Of Filth (not sure how many Wildhearts shows I seen lol) - which is odd cos I was only into the Black Metal stuff for a short period! Still, that was in their pre-commercial days so at least they were good shows!

Re: Who have you seen?

Well I've been going to gigs since 1989, so the list would be a bit long. I've got 15 clip frames filled with gig tickets on my wall. But highlights for me would be:-

David Bowie at Phoenix festival 96
The Cure at Wembley 89
Mastodon every time I've seen them (6 and counting)
Maiden every time, always deliver (seen them 5 times so far)
Pixies on the reunion tour 2004
Faith No More, Angel Dust tour 92
Soundgarden, Badmotorfinger tour, 92
Nirvana, 1st date of the Nevermind tour, 91
Foo Fighters, secret Brighton gig, 2007
Julian Cope, Peggy Suicide tour, 91 (?)
Metallica, 'surprise' afternoon set, Download 04
Nofx, every time
Pop Will Eat Itself, 92

Suprised not to see Rammstein in that list.

Even if you don't like the German lyrics their live gigs are stunning.

You know, I don't mind Rammstein - have a few bits n bobs of theirs, but not a whole lot... I would probably go see them if I happened across them playing fairly locally (ie, London lol) I guess... Du Hast! lol...

Re: Who have you seen?

I can add to my list;

Coheed & Cambria - pleasently surprised by them, specially since I hadn't heard them before
Fightstar (sadly)
Evile (good old skool UK Thrash Metal!!!!)
and Megadeth again

Also worthy of a note - Medina Lake (or something like that) awful awful band, but quality comedy moment when the band kicked off with a member of the backstage tour crew/management and a full on stage fight ensued, including the breaking of guitars and three-on-one-kick-him-in-the-nuts fighting session - LOL

Re: Who have you seen?

I used to see bands when I was in my late teens, not so much now, due to work commitments and a lack of concert partner

Anyway as a big metal head my list is:

Cradle of Filth (three times)
Nile (twice)
Napalm Death (three times)
Borknager
Vader
Cannibal Corpse (twice I think)
Morbid Angel
quite a few supporting bands that I can't remember.
and Tommy Emmanuel when I was young

I would love to see metal bands more if anyone fancy's a concert partner to go with

Re: Who have you seen?

Hmmm, I've been going to shows for over 25 years, the first one I went to was Iron Maiden on Number of the Beast tour in 1982! In that time I've seen the likes of Anthrax, Judas Priest, Megadeth, Slayer, Fear Factory, Metallica (Been to at least 30 of their shows) and Overkill numerous times.

Re: Who have you seen?

Underworld at The Roundhouse on Thursday. Fantastic. I was a little worried their sound could only be reproduced in a studio. Wrong. They sounded just as good live as they do on their fabulous DVD Everything Everything.
