Unhappy Zero 7 - Simple Things - annoying audio dropout

I have the Asian release of this CD, the one that comes with the bonus disk.

I have noticed a total audio dropout on Track 2 (of the main disk, track is called "Polaris") @ 3mins 48secs

If anyone else has this CD, can you let me know if it's on yours too please?

I'm not sure if it is a problem with the Asian release in particular that is not present on other releases elsewhere, or if it is on all releases. I have downloaded the MP3 of the track from Kazaa and there is no audio dropout on it

I don't think my particular copy is at fault as I would expect the CD to skip if there was a problem that bad with the disk

Thanks

Thanks. They are sending me a replacement I hope it is just my copy and not a problem with the Asian release itself as I quite like the bonus disk

Squirrel god, I bought my Zero 7 from CDWow (Hong Kong) about a year ago and it exhibited some strange behaviour in that it had a few skips at a certain point Im sure it was Polaris BTW, on my PC but not my DVD transport, I returned it to them and they told me it was a faulty batch and would send me another, I have not noticed anything since. I will check tonight for you though.

Yep one of the albums of 2001/2 IMHO.

Damn. Don't hold up much luck for my replacement then. Thanks for checking mate.

Looks like I'll have to get the UK or US release then. Oh well

Well, the replacement CD arrived today.

The audio dropout is still there, in the same place, so it has to be a mastering problem with the Asian release. How can they let something like this slip through unnoticed? It's annoying as hell and stands out like a sore thumb

Will have to get a refund now and buy the single disk UK or US release

Thanks for checking your copies guys - appreciated

thanks for reminding me about this album, it had been sitting forgotten at the back of my car cd collection, but I dug it out after reading this thread and brought it back inside where it belongs, sounds incredible on my system, great production and a real reference quality CD, if there is such a thing.

Presumably you do not mean "feel a hole (sic) lot better". Or are you on the back seat?
