Re: Led Zeppelin to release 2 new albums

Isn't this 2 or 3 songs different from 'Remasters'?

I'd 've still got rid of D'yer Mak'er though, as it's one of the worst things they commited to record imho.

Re: Led Zeppelin to release 2 new albums

Did I not once hear JP and/or RP saying Zeppelin would never give permission for any 'Best of' releases? We had the 1 and 2 box sets and the compiled 'Remasters' 2CD. And the BBC sessions, and I thought that would be it as 'collections' rather than a dedicated best of, then came the 2 'Early Days/Latter Days' best of CD's and now more? Are they running short of cash?

but that was a live anthology (of never before officially released performances); same too for Live at the BBC which included iirc live performances of brand new songs before the studio album was released, e.g. Stairway performed live before Four Symbols was released ... so the audience reaction is certainly different
- that stuff is worth gettiing, and I have it, and the accompanying DVD ("DVD")

the other compilations are just a bit greedy though
- "remasters" was good for 1990, I bought the triple vinyl album, and the CD back then, but since Page subsequently remastered all the studio albums and other tracks, and they were an albums group (not releasing singles in the UK), these early days, latter days, and forthcoming best ofs are just a bit unecessary in my view
