Babylon 5 the Lost Tales music score

Babylon 5 the Lost Tales music score

As I'm sure you're aware that next week is the R1 release date for the brand new Babylon 5 adventure "the Lost Tales". (sept for R2)

But did you know that the music score CD by Christopher Franke has already been released?

I've always found that Christopher Franke's scoring of Babylon 5 has always gave it so much more power and emotion to the show. With so many original pieces scored specifically for each and every scene it really gave the show a cinematic quality rather than just re using the same music like in other shows.

I've ordered myself a copy which I hope will be in the post very soon. Are there any other fans of the show that plan to buy the music score CD?

I didn't even realise there were CD soundtracks available until a few weeks ago. I picked up a second-hand a few days ago, I can't remember the title, but features music from the episodes "geometry of shadows", "Chrysalis", "mind war" and Another Episode I can't remember right now. It's been a really enjoyable listen!

Since discovering them I've seen loads of episode soundtracks on eBay and I'm fairly certain they are official ones but from the pictures they look like they're shaped discs. So I'm reluctant to pick them up because I don't think I have any player that can play them, most CD players warn you not to play them.

I can't say I loved the music for Crusade but I did think that the music added to the show. In my opinion it gave all of the alien worlds they visited a more alien feel to them, like they were really going into the unknown.

Those are the two I have!

My volume 2 messages from Earth came in the post yesterday, I haven't had a chance to listen to it though.

I was quite relieved to see it wasn't a shaped disc and shockingly the CD was as described like new! A first for Amazon market place, some people really take the juice with their descriptions these days. I picked up a DVD that was supposed to be like new. The cardboardSNAPPER case had a horribly torn off sticker making case look a mess and the DVD had been written on.

Re: Babylon 5 the Lost Tales music score

you've seen the Babylon 5 Lost Tales already? Lucky you!

That's one thing I would like to have seen in the TV movies right before the films begin, I always find it's a shame they don't use the classic theme.
