Better than Quicksand.

Simply awesome. One of the best rock albums ever, quite easily.

I saw them at Reading they were really good.

My Favourite on the album is Holding Sand.

Does anyone know if they're working on another record?

Eventually found a copy in virgin, only one listen so far, but sounds very good. I understand they are in the Strokes shadow.

What does that mean?

If you're talking about the band The Strokes, they're nothing alike and Rival Schools would stomp all over them anyway in a head-to-head.

One of my friends got chatting to these guys in an indian restaurant in Manchester. Many pints later him and his girlfriend were invited to the next nights gig in Liverpool - guest list, free beer etc. A thoroughly nice bunch of people and a really good band live from what he told me.

Put it like this, I had never heard of Rival School till it was mentioned on this Forum, now, hands up who has'nt heard of the Strokes.

They are certainly as good as the Strokes, but which band has won all the plaudits.

I would,nt like to see this band, sink without a trace, have to go and see one of their gigs, before they become mainstream news.

Agreed, cant stop listening to this album now, its on permanent replay...................I keep noticing a lot of early U2 influences in it, theres a fair bit of edge style guitar work.
