T In The Park - You Got Your Ticket?

This is it..Only a few month to go before the big bang..now the question is...Have You Got Your Ticket?

"35,000 tickets sold within 70 minutes" - These figures happened just after the 2006 festival. I own 2 of these 35,000 tickets.

The line has now been announced with such artists as:-
  • Snow Patrol
  • Artic Monkeys
  • Scissor Sisters
  • Mika
  • Razor Light
  • My Chemical Romance
  • Goo Goo Dolls
  • The Killers
  • Kooks
  • James Morrison
  • Bloc Party

and more. For the "so far" confirmed listing click here.

From 9am tomorrow morning another 20,000 odd tickets will be available. Will it be you buying a golden ticket?

Re: T In The Park - You Got Your Ticket?

I've got mine.

Aint happy though, the standard of headliner is poor.

Considering it was heavily rumoured Radiohead and Muse were to play im very dissapointed.

EDIT - Mika! Ill give you MIKA that sort of stuff shouldnt be tolerated.

Re: T In The Park - You Got Your Ticket?

I quite like Mika, good singer, especially the song Relax (Take it Easy).
and i'm extremely happy Snow Patrol are headlining! Wanted to see them play for ages!

My friend has also said he is not happy with the line up except for My Chem.

remember the line up is not complete yet...hope muse do play!

Re: T In The Park - You Got Your Ticket?

I sincerely hope the bill improves or I will have tickets for grabs.

Im hoping we get some quality new bands to see in the tents.

Saw AIR Traffic thursday night at barfly, glasgow and they were immense. A band called the law supported and they were good as well.

Did i see Amy Winehouse on the bill as well? Christ whats happening.

Re: T In The Park - You Got Your Ticket?

http://www.nme.com/news/t-in-the-park/26613

you missed out a few decent acts that i'd like to see...

the lineup is

Friday (July 6)

Main Stage
Arctic Monkeys
Bloc Party
The Coral
Lily Allen

Saturday (July 7)

Main Stage
The Killers
Razorlight
Arcade Fire
James
James Morrison

Radio 1/NME Stage
The Kooks
My Chemical Romance
Babyshambles
CSS

King Tuts Tent
The View
Klaxons
Jamie T

Pet Sounds Arena
The Saw Doctors

Slam Tent
Booka Shade
Ame

Sunday (July 8)

Main Stage
Snow Patrol
Scissor Sisters
Kings of Leon
The Fratellis
Paolo Nutini
Goo Goo Dolls

Radio1/NME Stage
Kasabian
Interpol
Maximo Park
Mika

King Tuts Tent
Editors

Pet Sounds Arena
Damien Rice
Amy Winehouse
Tori Amos

Slam Tent
Dave Clarke
Slam

i'm not going as i went a couple of years ago, but the lineup on both days was really great, with load of bands i wanted to see and i was front row at the main stage for goldie lookin chain, scissor sistors, franz ferdinand, the thrills and pj harvey, i think in that order on the sunday, which was a really great start to the day, and i also saw nerd, wu tang clan, katie melua, the darkness, the strokes, electric six, and keane, all of whom i wanted to see, altho the darkness and the strokes didn't live up to expectations. bowie was supposed to play that year, which would have been really great, but he had to pull out

i much prefer smaller gigs, the largeness of t in the park or hyde park at live 8 is just a bit much for me

out of this years acts tho, lilly allen on friday nite would be good, the killers, razorlight and arcade fire on the saturday, james morrison isn't bad, i'd also see the klaxons and jamie t, on sunday scissor sisters would be good as they love glasgow (the barras gig last year was great), the fratellis would be alright, paulo nutini would be good, plus kasabian, i'd really like to see mika, he will be a huge hit, plus tori amos and amy winehouse are both really great, and damien rice would probably be great too. the kooks will prolly be good too

so it's not a bad line up at all, it just might be lacking the really big names

Re: T In The Park - You Got Your Ticket?

Disspointed so far. There are a few bands that I want to see listed ie maximo park, editors, Interpol, bloc party (all of whom ive seen lately bar interpol)

I have to say that T In The Park is massive these days and Snow Patrol to close it is an insult. The Who closed it last year for gods sake! To me snow patrol just wont cut it.

Hopefully the up and coming bands im interested in will be playing the tents.

Re: T In The Park - You Got Your Ticket?

There is a guy on ebay saying he has 8 camping tickets which he bought as a company from "The Big Day Out" (The organisers of T In The Park). He is offering the prices cheaper than Ticketmaster (big rip off's!!) price of £140 for camping. He is new (registered on the 7th march, no feedback) but has left a number which i have text and recieved a reply (also very good at replying to emails). He states he is giving people a chance to buy them at the normal price. Do you trust him?

listing finishes tomorrow...

Re: T In The Park - You Got Your Ticket?

I worked at T in the Park last year, and had a great time. Can't wait for this year! Think the acts may have been better in 2006, but The Killers and Snow Patrol should make up for that!

You can't unless you're working! We get there Thursday evening, and then wake up early Friday morning, ready for everyone else to start arriving.
