Rickie Lee Jones: Terrific new album on SACD (Limited number)

Been living with RLJ's latest album Sermon On Exposition Boulevard for the past week or so. Have to say that after the initial surprise (it's like nothing she has recorded before) and a few listens for it to work its magic, this is turning from a "grower" into a firm favourite in a very short space of time. Indeed this is one of the first albums from anyone in a long while that I have heard that has impressed to this degree.

This is a CD release, but there is a limited edition of 35,000 containing a Hybrid SACD version of the album, with both a High Resolution Stereo and 5.1 Surround Mix as well as the normal CD layer. It also includes a DVD with 40 minutes on the making of the album. Also included in this Special Edition are High Resolution MP3s of the entire CD to download to your MP3 player, as well as an expanded booklet with extra photos, artwork and liner notes.

A bargain at $14.99 for this Special Limited Edition from Amazon.com. A certain amount of hurry up might be advisable though as my copy was numbered 34,733 of 35,000.
