Ideas for Acoustic Songs

I don't know if this is the correct place to post this, but I thought I would ask you guys for some advice.

I sing as part of a duo performing in our local pub scene and I am trying to give our set a shake up. So i thought I would ask if anyone had any good ideas for acoustic material. I do not play an instrument and the guitar player does not sing, so it really is down to the bare bones.

These are songs which we currently perform to give you an idea of musical style.

All these things that I've done - The killers
America - Razorlight
Distant Sun - Crowded House
Dock of the bay - Otis Redding
The First Cut is the Deepest - Rod Stewart
Hey Jude - The Beatles
Mardy Bum - Artic Monkeys
Mystify - INXS
One - U2
She Moves in her own way - Kooks
Slide Away - Oasis
These Streets - Paolo Nutini
Town Called malice - The Jam
Why Does it always Rain on Me - Travis
Yellow - Coldplay

As you can see it is a bit of an ecclectic mix, so anything will be considered.

We are looking for around 10 new songs, uptempo ones if possible.

Please note that the guitar player has pretty basic skills, so we would like to keep it simple.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Ideas for Acoustic Songs

Ring Of Fire - Johnny Cash
That's Entertainment - The Jam
Wonderwall - Oasis
Losing My Religion - REM
The Drugs Don't Work - The Verve

These all seem to get a crowd going in pubs.
