A little help please

OK.

I am compiling a collection of the ultimate 50 classic rock songs.
So far I've got 38, after browsing a few websites etc. (bear in mind that I have heard few of these for myself).
I was wondering if anyone can help me complete the list (or at least get it up to the ultimate 40).
It's for a friend's 18th birthday present (on a new mp3 player) in a couple of weeks, so I'd appreciate quick replies so I have time to find/download etc. the songs before then.
The list so far is as follows:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pink Floyd

COmfortably Numb
Another Brick in the Wall (II)
Great Gig in the Sky

Led Zep

In the Evening
Rock and Roll
Whole Lotta Love
Stairway to Heaven
Heartbreaker
Over the Hills and Far Away
Kashmir

Jimi Hendrix

Voodoo Child (Slight Return)
Purple Haze

Aerosmith

Sweet Emotion
Walk this way

AC/DC

Back in Black
Highway to Hell

The Ramones

Blitzkrieg Bop

The Who

5:15
My Generation
Baba O'Riley
Pinball Wizard
Who aRe You
Squeezebox
Won't Get fooled again

Deep Purple

Smoke on the Water

Lynyrd Skynyrd

Free Bird

Queen

Bohemian Rhapsody
We are the Champions
Don't Stop me now

The Clash

London Calling
Rock the Casbah

The Rolling Stones

(Can't Get no) Satisfaction
Brown Sugar
Sympathy for the Devil

Guns N' Roses

Sweet child o' mine
Welcome to the Jungle
Paradise City
November Rain
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks everyone!

Re: A little help please

Some excellent choices there, and I would add everything Lunny suggests.

Personally I would remove

Led Zep - In The Evening, Over The Hills and Far Away - Decent tracks but not really classics

Guns 'N' Roses - November Rain

I would consider

Led Zep - Since I've Been Loving You, Going To California, In My Time of Dying

The Doors - Light My Fire, The End, LA Women, Riders On The Storm

Rolling Stones - Gimme Shelter, You Can't Always Get What You Want

Pink Floyd - Money

Sex Pistols - Anarchy In The UK, God Save The Queen

Metallica - One, Whisky In The Jar

Beastie Boys - Fight For Your Right To Party

The Beatles - I Wan't You (She's So Heavy), Helter Skelter

Cream - Sunshine Of Your Love

David Bowie - Heroes, Rebel Rebel

Iggy Pop - Lust For Life, I Wanna Be Your Dog, The Passenger

Iron Maiden - 2 Minutes To Midnight, The Number Of The Beast

Muse - Hysteria, Knights Of Cydonia

Oasis - Live Forever, Cigarettes And Alcohol, Columbia

Pearl Jam - Alive

Radiohead - Creep

The Smashing Pumpkins - 1979, Cherub Rock, Silverfukc

The Stone Roses - I Am The Resurrection (full album version, greatest song of all time IMHO).

U2 - Sunday Bloody Sunday, New Years Day, Pride, Beautiful Day

Can you make it a top 100

Re: A little help please

Good ones, pmc. Completely agree with I Am The Ressurection - up there in my all time top ten.

I'd remove November Rain too, unless you wanted to half fill the mp3 player as the song is about 3 days long.

Re: A little help please

Heh heh heh, you really think you can stop at 50?

So far, the answers have been subjective (Of course), but you can see that it will zip past 50...

I fully agree with:

Radiohead - Paranoid Android
Radiohead - Creep
The Doors - Light My Fire (But not Riders on the Storm)
