Jean Michel Jarre "
Jarre In China" DVD video concert. The concert itself was performed in 5.1 watch the docu and see how they did it
Various Artists "
Concert for George" tribute concert for George Harrison. contains an excellent rendition of "Sit on my Face" by Monty Python, Tom Hanks as one of the Pythons (in another song standing in for Mr Cleese) and my favourite cover of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" with among others, Clapton on lead+vocals, Paul on keyboards, Ringo on drums. Great sonics and a wonderful concert. (PM me for a video clip of this)
The only part I didn't care for was the first part of the concert - Indian classical music which wasn't my cup of tea
I'd recommend the Rush ReplayX3 3 dvd set of their earlier concerts, but while the sound is awesome, the video transfer isn't stellar.
R30 may be a better bet.
The Beatles "
Love" (CD+DVD-A) Even if you can't hear the superb high resolution DVD-Audio, you can still play the Beatles in 5.1 surround using the DTS track. No video, but loads of fun.
I don't have it yet, but maybe you could check out Porcupine Tree's "
Arriving Somewhere" DVD. I have the two DVD-As (In Absentia and Deadwing) and they are awesome.
