Thanks: Gave 32, Got 27 | Recommended DVD-Audio and SACD Albums
Having recently purchased a Denon 1930 DVD player which supports DVD-Audio and SACD playback, I wondered what albums peeps would recommend as first purchases for trialling these new multi surround formats?
Music taste is mainly dance but seen as not much of that is available on these new formats, I'm mainly after a few albums that really do the new formats justice. Kind of demo material I guess.
Thanks.
Cheekster.

The normal recommendations are:
Dark Side Of The Moon - Pink Floyd on SACD (also available as a DVD-A via BitTorrent)
A Night At The Opera and The Game - Queen on DVD-A
Brothers In Arms - Dire Straits on SACD
War Of The Worlds - Jeff Wayne on SACD
Tubular Bells - Mike Oldfield on both SACD & DVD-A
a search of this forum wil also bring up several old threads that have covered this question in the past and will offer far more recomendations.
Mark.

I also like dance/r&b. As you say, hard to find but but for what it's worth my collection includes... (SACD unless marked)
Groove Armada - Vertigo
Studio Voddoo - Club Voodoo (DVD-A)
Norah Jones - Come Away With Me
Isley brothers - 3+3
Michael Jackson - Thriller
Dentinys Child - Survivor
Beyonce - Crazy in Love
Babyface - The Day
Depeche Mode - 101, Violator, Music for the Masses
Alicia Keys - Songs In A Minor (DVD-A)
Usher -8701 (DVD-A)
If I could have one SACD wish it would be Prodigy - Fat of The Land or anything by Kate Bush (yes I know that's two wishes!)
