Foo Fighters recommendation

Sorry if it's already been discussed deep in another thread, but I'd like to heartily recommend the latest Foo Fighters release - Skin And Bones.

Listened to it on Sunday whilst doing the three S's and it is simply awesome

I'm not very keen on Dave Grohl live - at least what I've heard on telly has been poor, but when they slow things down as in this CD it's really something to behold. I've also got the corresponding DVD to watch - looking forward to it.

Just as a side note, as I have raised the subject of acoustic material - I'd also like to recommend a band that I don't think gets mentioned too often anywhere.

Tesla is their name, and they released an album some years ago called "Five Man Acoustical Jam" - way before MTV Unplugged started. I wouldn't be surprised if it inspired the show !! Hunt it down, along with their electric releases.

Re: Foo Fighters recommendation

Foo Fighters are superb live ive seen them about 5 times. This dvd/cd really shows them perfectly though. An amazing extra dimension to an already amazing band. Definately worth the money.

Re: Foo Fighters recommendation

I can not recommend this release highly enough, showing a band now at the top of their game, and Dave Grohl the perfect rock frontman. I've sat here tonight with a view to just watching the Hyde Park DVD, but ended up rocking out to both discs (Hollwood acoustic set as well). I've seen this band a number of times, gigs small and large - I was at Hyde Park this summer and it's great to experience this now with a great picture and awesome sound (nice 5.1 mix!).

Whilst the summer Hyde Park event was an amazing experience, did anyone else go to the Earls Court show earlier in 06? For me it beat all the smaller shows I'd seen. I've not seen a better preformance than that one... ever.
