Playing MP3 on CD

If I have an MP3 file on a CDR can I get a CD player that will play it? I have found portable ones, but I am after a full size reasonable quality unit. There are no reviews of CD players in the Hardware reviews section on this page, or I would have looked there.

I am currently using my DVD player to play CDs, but it can't read CDRs (its a Sony 525).

Thanks for any clues.
