Would anyone agree with me that James Horners early work is possibly his finest?

Battle Beyond The Stars, Star Trek 2 & 3, and especially Krull are magnificent scores with a very nautical theme. It is obvious that he was influenced and inspired by the work of Miklos Rozsa and Korngold.

It is a shame that his latter work is often so derivative.
