Tool re-releases

Can anyone enlighten me if the new reissues of Tools albums differ from my originals. I'm just curious as I haven't got Undertow and don't know if it'll be hit or miss which version I would get from various sites offering old and new stock.

Thanks.

I don't know a great deal about the re-releases. (I placed an order for Salival and that re-release has vanished) but I have read that Undertow has had several releases, the main difference being the number of tracks - on mine Disgustipated is track 69, on some other versions it is not

Sorry, I'm not much help.
First Tool album I bought, interesting to know what you think having already heard the more recent 'complex' albums.

I had an e-mail from hmv this morning informing me that my order for Salival has been cancelled - reason given that they are unable to source it.
Was quite looking forward tho this as well

Oh yeah, I've just got one too. I was expecting it mind you as they were the only retailer offering it for sale.

I don't know if this general unavailability applies to the other 2006 re-releases, which brings us back to the original question......
The version of Undertow which Amazon have for sale is from '98, and to be honest, that's the one I'd get.

The only thing I'd say about "Undertow" is how quiet it is - at least the version that I have is, don't know if any re-release will up the volume at all?

Well I've just had a stab at Play for Undertow as tools website news state they were one of the places for the re-release so we'll see.

I have to say I did seem to go the hard way with tool releases starting with Aenima then Lateralus, and only started a few years ago after being pestered by a cousin who didn't know why I hadn't bought any up to that time.

I bought 10,000 days and still think the more I play it the Better it gets as after the first few plays it didn't do a lot, but now even the fill ins seem to blend in well.
