What are Your Top 5 Music DVDs?
Not sure if this has been covered recently - couldn't find it anyway, but someone will no doubt tell me if it has .
To kick off mine, for which my criteria would be not necessarily the music content, but primarily the quality of the audio in the first instance, I would pick, in no particular order:
Eagles - Hell Freezes Over
Dixie Chicks - Live at the Kodak Theatre
Robbie Williams - Live at Knebworth
Elton John - Live at Ephesus
Queen - The Making of the Night at The Opera
What would be you picks??

There is a thread here...
Recommend me a good music dvd
...but AFAIK music DVDs haven't been discussed for a while so there may be some new ones people might want to mention, or just refresh a few of the old gems

A Concert for George - didn't see that mentioned in the other thread (might've missed it I just scanned). Beautiful, especially that Monty Python skit with Tom Hanks; and great sonics.
Rush in Rio
Fleetwood Mac the Dance
Queensryche Operation:Mindcrime
and Pulse, when it comes out :P

T Rex Live at Wembley fantastic restoration job of a great gig in DTS ES too
Simple Minds Verona blast out that Street Fighting Years beginning
Glastonbury ok crap 2.0 bbc footage but wow just so many great memories including Faithless Come One & I can see myself at the front on it
Aha Live from the Valhall always liked A ha but this is a great concert from 3 years ago, they are really good musicians & morton's voice just sounds better with age.

sorry couldn't keep it to five...
The History Of Iron Maiden - Part 1: The Early Days
(plenty of content, great documentary, early live shows)
Led Zeppelin: DVD
(live performances spanning their career)
Metallica (with Michael Kamen & San Francisco Symphony Orchestra): S&M
(interesting arrangements, great sound)
Queen: Live At Wembley Stadium
(sheer entertainment with rock's most flamboyant showman)
DJ Shadow: In Tune And On Time
(great live set)
Underworld Live: Everything, Everything
(great live set)
Duran Duran: Greatest (2DVD)
(greatest hits videos - entertaining/escapist)
Oasis: …There And Then
(takes me back to 1995 - also have the original VHS release with free live CD of Knebworth 1996 performances - I was there!)

Ahhh yes I knew I had forgotten one Duran Duran Greatest. Rio still looks great even now, didn't the band blow half their earnings in the 80s on exotic videos like Wild Boys & using Anton Corbin????
regards
Gary

Got to agree with these two......plus Noel Gallagher is actually quite funny.
Also got to include:
Therapy? - Scopophobia
Iron Maiden - Death On The Road

Duran Duran - Live From London
The Mission - Lighting The Candles

I've got to admit I haven't. Same guy who introduced me to HFO is same guy who gave me the hifi bug. Great memories. I might have to invest in Farewell I at end of month.
Hope to see the NIA concert pop up on DVD maybe.
Just love Tequila Sunrise, especially the live version. Eagles really are amazing Live performers
