SACD - Info Please

Hi guys,
had my Philips 963sa for some time now and am delighted with it on the dvd side but have always been a little disappointed on the SACD side of things.
I purchased a two disc SACD of the Rolling Stones "Hot Rocks 1964-1971" which purported to be of the SACD family.
Having played the cd's several times I've always had the feeling it's not been quite right.
Connecting through the six-channel audio out through phonos on the Philips to my Denon AV amp.
Only tonight I discovered that I could NOT switch between the SACD 2 (for 2 channel stereo) and the SACD 6 (multi-channel) ......nothing happened and all I can get is the straight two-channel stereo.
Am I correct in saying the fault is lying with the old "strolling-bones" themselves, and the SACD is NOT in fact set up for outputing the "multi-channel" option.
Anyone any idea if i am correct?
Would appreciate the knowledge!

Yup, Deep Purple's Live at the BBC SACD set is just the same. Only 2 channel.

I was slightly disappointed.

The Stones discs are only two channel SACD and CD layers.

The only Stones SACD with multi channel SACD was the re-issue of Sympathy for the Devil CD 7 track EP
