Growing up is a sublime DVD-V, both visually (probably the best looking music DVD I won) and audio wise.

FWIW his Secret World Tour I borrowed from a friend, stunning audio but a very ropey picture.

... I also think the set list on Secret World is better - what a way to finish a show (suitcases et al ) gotta agree about the PQ though its one of the worst I own (surely some sort of video to DVD problem?)
... sound quality on his "videos" DVD is superb too especially the remixes like "Sledgehammer"
... I see there's yet another PG Live DVD suppose I'll have to get that too

Growing Up Live is the best music DVD I own - period. (Especially if you saw the original concerts... ;-) ) Sound, picture and content are all first-rate.

The follow-up package - Still Growing Up - is less essential. Whereas GUL was all shot at the same concert, SGU has multiple concerts edited together, frequently using shots from several concerts for the same song - and it's obvious, not subtle - you see PG's clothes change several times, and even the venue change from indoor to outdoor. I'm sure it's been done for very valid artistic reasons, but the effect is quite disconcerting. The second disc is a bit of a con, too - it's the first disc all over again, but with excerpts of interview mixed in with the same concert footage.

On the other hand, it does feature some songs from the second leg of the tour which aren't on GUL - San Jacinto, Tower That Ate People, White Ashes, Come Talk To Me and Games Without Frontiers - worth getting for those.

Oh, and the Play compilation is pretty good too.

They must have done a better job than actually having the experience of being there.

I went to Albert Hall concert and thought the vocals was a tad hard to understand on many a track. Great show otherwise.

The SW DVD reproduces what I seen and heard at the Earls Court gig back in 94-95 FWIW, albeit Seonaid OConnor rather than the lantern jawed girl in the DVD abovge (also very good), the really surprising thing is the audio quality which is excellent when you consider the visual quality of the DVD. I think I shall fire up Growing Up tonight to remind me how good it is.

I just don’t think anyone touches Gabriel in DVD terms audio wise, well maybe a ceertain Mr D.Gilmour but Ive waited so long for Pulse on DVD I can only comment on Meltdown.
