Bowie Stage Dvd-A

Not sure if this is a genuine bargain or a mistake but at £1.99 you can't go wrong

As I said to mate who bought Scary monsters etc for 50p, yes you can! He didn't believe me either........... but later admitted I was right! Neither of the 70's Bowie live albums did him any justice.

i ordered it! about £3.50 delivered. thought it's easier to order it on it's on and pay £1.25 or something delivery just in case it's a mistake and cancelled

could be right as it only plays on dvd audio players, it don't have a dolby digital soundtrack apparently, so the reduction in price could be cuz of returns and not enough folk having dvdA players

apparently the album was originally recorded with quadrophonic in mind, and the new mix is pretty good. can't complain for £3.50

WOW! Ta muchly.

Not sure of some of those tracks but I need to increase (for now) my DVD Audio collection and can't go wrong for the price.

Bought 2, 1 for my Bowie fan sis whom I'm sure can find a couple of squid even tho' for her it'll only be 48Khz video quality.

Enticed me to also buy Frampton comes alive for free delivery which I've had my eye on for a while.

mine turned up yesterday, £3.50 inc pnp from amazon, haven't listened to it yet. i'm interested in maybe upgrading the collection if they do a bunch more bowie dvda in 5.1, they've rehashed his catalogue enough times already, so i presume they will keep on rehashing and rereleasing as long as the fans buy it

There is that............

I heard (bought) both on vinyl, and dumped them both in the local SH shop. I then bought the CD's hoping they'd be better - they were worse! *sighs* Maybe the DVD will finally bring some joy. Although I remember the reviewers (after I bought them each flipping time! ) giving both albums a slating performance wise as well.

the fans at the time hated the album as it was a selection of songs from various nites, and the songs were in a completely different order to the actual show. the dvda puts the songs back in the natural running order and includes two songs not on the original album, so it makes the album more like the actual show

i still haven't listened to it yet tho, maybe next weekend

I've had the DVD-A since its release and it sounds superb, the "best" version yet

The DVD-V tracks sound very good too for those without DVD-A player

Pity that I paid £9.99 for it

David Live is also worth buying on DVD-A as is the Let's Dance SACD
