Thumbs up Seal- Best (99-2004) on DVD audio

I have just purchased the seal album on dvd-audio, it is a us import, with all his hits on video and audio DD5.1.
I am using Pioneer dvd 565A Player MReg, it will only play the video tracks and not the audio 5.1 tracks.
i have many other 5.1 disc which play fine.
has any body else had any problems with this disc.

thanks for the replys...

I think i have a temp solution....stop the dvd & in the Initial setup menu change the dvd play mode from DVD AUDIO to DVD VIDEO.

only temp because it resets on switch off.

at least i have heard the full dvd, sound and vision it is
the best dvd audio album i have heard so far.

I believe Seal is on Warner Records. There was a problem a while back highlighted by the Beck 'Guero' DVD-A and the Pioneer 565. I think it was the firmware. This is all from memory, but I believe people were advised to see a Pioneer dealer to get it sorted. Or if you got yours from Richer sounds you could take it back and ask nicely and they'll probably give you a 575

If you google: 'pioneer 565 dvd-a problem' ...there are a number of forum topics and threads about this. It seems to be down to the latest authoring software for the newer DVD-A's, and seems to be confined only to the 563/565 models. Hope this helps a bit
