help finding a couple of tracks.

Hello, have been trying to get hold of a couple of songs that i keep hearing on the TV and radio but can never seem to find out what they are called and who they are by.

The first one has some very distinctive lyrics:-

Lately, I fell asleep amid (amongst?) the flowers, for a couple of hours, on a beatiful day...

The second one is a massive dance hit which has been around for a while now and is currently being used on that ad that has that guy drifting in and out of various photos. There's a bit when he ends up in the sea at sunset and grabs a girl close to him and that is the bit where this track is playing. Can't remember what the ad is for, possibly ipod, or maybe photo equipment.

Not much to go on but would be grateful for suggestions.

Thanks

That sounds to me like "Daydream In Blue" by I Monster.

It was out quite recently (2001 I believe) and was a cover version of an old song, which after a bit of research I discovered was called "Daydream" by Wallace Collection (??? I know, I know!).

AND excerpts from the same song were used by The Beta Band in their song "Squares" off their 2001 album "Hot Shots II".

Hope this helps!

Working on song 2 now,

Kazuya Mishima, MusicMaster.

Daydream In Blue is included on a very good chillout album you might want to consider if you want more of the same(ish):

It's out of stock at the moment.

I monster, that's the one, they've got that classic chillout CD on Amazon so have ordered it. That's put my mind at rest on that one, still got the other one going round and round in my head.

It is a very popular tune as I've heard it all over the place and it's been on TV and radio alot. It sounds a bit like "one more time" by daft punk.

Wish I could give you more info but short of ringing you up and humming it down the phone in a never mind the buzzcocks stylee there aren't any other clues i can give.

Thanks again.
