it's not the full london show, but most of it - the full show started at 2pm and lasted till midnite, although there were breaks in between sets whilst acts changed over. in hyde park they showed footage from some of the other shows between sets. most of the london show is included, prettymuch all the good bits anyways, the full sets from most of the major artists, including floyd and the who (they only did 2 songs, and they rocked!)
i haven't watched the whole dvd yet as i was at both london and edinburgh shows, so not so dying to watch it al back again, but the sound quality on the floyd part was particularly good, and i was sure the editing seemed different to the tv broadcast. the sound quality on the dvd is excellent, with the money intro using the proper 4 speakers like on the original quad mix of the album, and also great use of the sub in DTS. the floyd rehearsal bonus footage comprises mainly of a few mins intereview and a full like take of wish you were here, with roger getting mason to try a few different endings on drums.
it's well worth it for the floyd footage alone.
the main omission is from the edinburgh disc where the bono and the corrs duet isn't included, that was one of the best moments of that show. edinburgh was very different to hyde park, as it was a nice sunny day, and no booze was allowed in, so everyone was friendly and not causing trouble, and of course london had ALL the best bands, opening with u2 and macca and leading up to the floyd reforming, something i thought would never happen, nevermind me being witness to. edinburgh on the other hand was in murrayfield stadium, not the best venue by any means for a concert, and it was cold and rainy and horrible, and the acts were very different to london, with more emphasis on world music acts (not my personal favorites), but it was still an experience to be at both of them
i must say that i'm not really a fan of the who, although i've tried, and i own the dvd, i just can't get into tommy at all. they did make some good movies though. in london i was VERY impressed with thier set, in fact they were probably the best performance of the entire show, and thats coming from a long time floyd fanatic. and so many of my favorite artists were there, many great live performers from robbie to madonna (who personally i thought wasn't very good, although folk who saw her on the telly thought otherwise), and snoop dogg surprised me by an amazing audience reaction, and swearing live on bbc at 6pm about 6 million times! oh, my 3rd time seeing rem this year, 2nd time u2, it was a fantastic show and day
