Kid (a) 17

Strange, cool but very strange.

Get yourself a copy of Radioheads Kid A, play 2 copies of the album at the same time but 17 seconds apart and Hey Presto!! a remix of the album. Bloody amazing if you ask me!

Apparently this is intentional too

I only have 1 set of amp + speakers, but will try to fashion some sort of solution, maybe using a PC (which is in a different room).

Doh,
I can simply play it through the dvd player + TV, and the other through CD + amp + spkrs

well, I've tried it.
Only heard the first 3 tracks so far and the 1st one was the best (didn't think the other 2 worked particularly well). Was there any particular track which stood out for you?

Thanks for the mp3 offer, but I've managed to listen to the whole album now (keeping my eye on the player counters to ensure the 17 second gap remained throughout). Fair play, I must admit it didn't sound like 2 separate copies, but 1 cohesive piece.

The thing is, tracks 2 and 3 have never been my favourites, so I don't really know what I was expecting from them.

btw How did you manage to mix them and put them onto mp3? - I assume you have a mixing desk or a decent PC sound card with 2 inputs

If you don't mind I wouldn't mind a listen. Have you actually recorded the two tracks seventeen seconds appart on MP3???
