sa cd question

hi , i have a denon 3802 and a pioneer 575 dvd player which i use pretty much 95% for movies and 5% music BUT i really fancy hearing jeff waynes war of the worlds as i am a big fan.thing is with this set up will i hear the benefits?
p.s. would probally us cheapo interconnects as i dont have the cash to by a loadof new ones.

Yes you will. For a start the discrete multi-channel sound is a big advantage and even if you don't hear any advantage from the hi-res, it'll still sound like a 5 channels of CD quality

In the end what have you got to lose?
