I think you will need to get there earlier for that. 9am to 10am would be your best bet.

Going to see them in the Millenium Stadium, Cardiff on 29th - can't wait. Saw them in Dublin in 1998 and have been waiting to see them again since that time - they were that good.

Possibly a bit too early for me. Will try for lunchtime I think. Weather looks ok for tomorrow though (crosses fingers).
Anybody gonna try sneaking a camera in?
Really hacks me off does that "no cameras or recorders" crap.
Guess my mobile will have to do at a pinch.

Part of the show (in the US leg) had everyone being given a number to text their name to, the proceeds of which would go to charity, and their name would show up on their LCD wall. Also, the band gets you to light up your mobile phone like the old candle trick at the gigs. Its quite a sight.

Saw them on Tuesday.
Where did you managed to sit/stand?
We got there around 12.30pm and queued up at gate Y. Got let in at 4.30pm and were issued with wristbands to let us into the front part of the pitch by the stage.
seems a lot of presale ticket holders on gate B were seriously peed off as the system turned into a bit of a shambles withsome who had queued from 9.am not getting a wristband.
Anyways... we got a spot right on the barriers by the front left hand speakers. My 2 kids were ecstatic.
and to top it all my Lizzie got Bono's drumstick from 'Love and Peace'.
Unbelievable night.
Some pics attached

I thought you could not take in cameras...
... were they hot on the searches, or not ? Was there an absolute sea of camera flashes ?
Going to Twickenham on Saturday, and would like to take mine, but not at the risk of some spotty youth not letting me in or confiscating it.

You were'nt supposed to - according to the ticket. I stuffed mine into a fairly secret pocket in my back pack. They only searched peoples backpacks for any food and drink they might be bringing in. didn't even ask about cameras. I guess if you took a camcorder or a big SLR they might get a bit stroppy. One of the stewards looked a bit funny at me as I did some movie work on the camera as it has a fold out screen like a vid camera and looks a lot like a really small vid cam. So I kept to just taking stills.
There were quite a few people with cameras around and of course everyone with a mobile phone had it out taking snaps and video clips.
I took my kids cheapie digi cam. Wish I'd had a nice slimline 5 Mp job with a good zoom.
Good luck on the day. Get there early if you want to get down the front.
Dead jealous now. They were quite simply brilliant. One of the best concerts I've been to.
Chris
