Exclamation 'Endtroducing' By DJ Shadow: It rocks

This album ******* rocks!

There are pieces of music that stir the emotions like nothing else, particularly Midnight in a Perfect World and Transmission 2. Please check this album out here . It's a must buy in the strongest possible terms. What talent.

Not as good as Shadow's co-produced Psyence Fiction which is shorter, less self indulgent and has sections that can be run over the original Star Wars in perfect synch.

Why do I get the feeling you really have done that?Ive got that album here somewhere,Il have to try that when Im a little err imaginative on the weekend

edit:just remembered that the Psyence Fiction album has an advert for a game called smash your oponents balls(or something like that)in the middle of it,what part of Star wars does that coincide with?

Broadly- you can start the disc with the rolling titles, if done correctly, they'll fade out, the album will say "somewhere in space this may all be happening right now" and it will cut to the blockade runner being chased by the star destroyers as the Drums of Death part one starts. "lonely soul" can run over most of the desert scenes and Drums of Death pt2 (with the beastie's) can be run over the Death Star attack run.

The rest I've forgotten as large parts of my brain have ceased to function after this sort of behaviour .

I'm still getting to grips with Endtroducing. I've listened to it a few times now, and it still leaves me cold/uninterested.

Maybe I'm not playing it loud enough?

Play it very late at night with the lights out, preferably on a pair of quality headphones...

Isn't there a sample from Orion on Endtroducing? - listen to the start of The Number Song - a very slow Metallica like 'chug' (allegedly, etc)

[both great albums - unrelated to this thread, I bought Endtroducing on Saturday and like it already]

Loved early UNKLE and Psyence Fiction...

Could never get on with DJ Shadow's Endtroducing. Played it loads, just not in the same leuage as Psyence Fiction. for me anyway

New Unkle stuff is way different sounding....I'm not liking the Lavelle and Clements partnership.
