Music Classifieds & Valuation

Perhaps because it's so late I haven't seen the obvious. But is there a music classifieds here?

Secondly I have a couple of records I'm wishing to get valued and possibly sell. Frankly if I'm honest with myself these are just gathering dust (figuratively) and I'm not likely to get use from them. If anyone has any thoughts on what they might be worth please let me know.

Oasis - Be Here Now UK Box Set (Catalogue No: CRECD219), Record Label: Creation, Release 1997. This was, I think, a run of only 100 that went out to Fan Club members who rang a hotline following a Fan Club mailout. My wife got it for me on my birthday way back then... I just can't find anything on it.

I also have some early Beatles stuff including some Christmas Fan Club Flexi Discs, which I would put up in a classified if there was one!

Kenny...
45's
One's I think look important...
Love Me Do on RED Parlaphone Label 45-R4949 v/g No PS (Red Label Looks Cool)
The Official Beatles Fan Club - Another Beatles Christmas Record (Flexi Disc) LYN757 n/mint in P/S
The Official Beatles Fan Club - The Seventh Christmas Record (Flexi Disc) LYN1970 n/mint no P/S
Magical Mystery Tour in like a gatefold book (45rpm) - P/S looks original but not sure about the 45's as they look quite new.
Yellow Submarine/Eleanor Rigby 5715 Capital (Centre on 45 is missing) in good condition (PS) - original
I am The Walrus (weird Mis Print as it has IATW on both sides of the 45) no centre on 45 and no P/S..but I reckon very unique

One's that look good but I can't work out if they're originals or not
Twist and Shout GEP8882 Parlaphone v/g (P/S)
Nowhere Man GEP8952 Mint (no P/S)
Ticket To Ride R5265 v/g (no P/S) Have 2 of these....
All My Loving GEP8891 v/g (writing on P/S)
Long Tall Sally GEP8913 Mint (P/S)
Day Tripper R5389 v/g (no P/S)

Also have a few Original Albums in v/g to Mint condition... Revolver, Hard Days Night, Rubber Soul, With The Beatles etc...

In fact.. having looked at my record collection for the 1st time in ages, I have quite a few things I forgot I had. Can anyone remember Manson? I have their 7" Take It Easy on the Sc-Fi Hi-Fi Recordings Label i.e. 1st ever 45 they released on their original label.

I would be interested in possibly trading or selling some of these but don't wish to be slapped by the mods for doing it here..as it's not an official classifieds. That said, if anyone know's the value of any of the above then I'd be interested.

Digi

Some nice items there esp the red Parlophone LMD and the Xmas flexis.

The MMT is a double EP that was issued on mono and stereo, however there was a few mix-ups, check the matrix of I Am The Walrus as some stereo EPs have that in mono and vice versa.

If you are looking to sell them try ebay or I have a collector friend in Holland who may be ineterested

Kenny,

I am interested, especially in what the Flexis are worth and as I don't use them they might as well go to a good home. I'm not sure how this works from here on in. As we are not offically making a trade and wish to chat about general value and what your collector friend might be interested in, I presume it's OK for you to PM me to discuss. However, if we reach a point where you or your friend and I wish to trade said items then I will wish to do it via the forums so that there is an audit trail.

So, for just a general chat about Beatles collectables and what my stuff might be worth, including items not listed above please PM me. I have a load of Beatles stuff and would be willing to sell or trade in for the equivlant value for an Original copy of Space Oddity with PS...!

No problem as I can see it guys You can discuss valuations openly if you wish as well. As you say any trade should be done openly for your own protection.

Regards, Mylo

Thanks Mylo. Kenny has provided me with an email addy of someone he knows that could give me a valuation so that's great for me. Any trading with AV members will be done openly. Cheers.

Just out of interest, does anyone think there would be an appetite to open up a music classifieds?
