Pink Floyd Singles, where to value or sell.

I have some Pink Floyd singles that I would like to find the value of and possibly sell, these are from late 1960s, where would be a good place to start?

Try an ad in the Record Collector mag or on ebay. What have you got?

Believe it or not, I did have in my posession for a few days this week, a genuine original copy of the demo LP, Jokers Wild. Not mine, and it's gone back to its owner. Valuable, I gather.....

This may be but I believe these are the early Floyd singles :-

Arnold layne/candy and a currant bun
See Emily Play/scarcrow
Apples and Oranges/paintbox
It would be so nice/julia dream
Point me at the sky/careful with that axe Eugene

(I have all these on the 'Early Singles' CD as part of the 'shine on' boxed set )

value wise, it'll depend on the condidtion and the sleeves you have. The first 2 were the biggies (I think they reached 14 and 5 respectively, but I'm not sure without looking this up). The others will be more rare.

Purely guessing I'd say £10-£15 each for Arnold and Emily, the rest maybe £20+ each. I'm probably way off the mark.

the thing to do would be to make a note of the catalogue numbers and do some digging as they may be special pressings. There's a very good market for Floyd singles, but I personally wouldn't sell them. - The only Floyd 7" I have is 'When the Tigers Broke Free' with the gatefild sleeve. (bought 2nd hand for £7)

They are in the loft so I will have to check exactly what, I am sure one is Arnold Layne or See Emily play, also Careful with that Axe Eugene I think, I also have a Syd Barret solo album, I need to get them down, I suppose ebay could be worth a check for current values, thanks anyway.

Ten years ago I used to be a record dealer. Then, the Joker's Wild album would have fetched £800 - £1000. The ordinary singles were around the £30 mark - wouldn't expect them to have shot up in value since.

Sounds like a case of e-bay frenzy for the Arnold Layne 7" - unless it's a demo version in a promo sleeve. That'll be more like £300.

Don't forget that condition is the key. You'll only realise these prices if they're in mint (unlikely) or excellent condition.
