Outside the take-away, Saturday night
a bald adolescent, asks me out for a fight
He was no bigger than a two-penny fart
he was a deft exponent of the martial art

Mr John Cooper Clarke

In the cheap seats where murder breeds
Somebody is out of breath
Sleep is a luxury they don't need
- a sneak preview of death
Belladonna is your flower
Manslaughter your meat
Spend a year in a couple of hours
On the edge of Beasley Street

Mr John Cooper Clarke, really like the Snap, Crackle & Bop album the above is taken from.

This is one of my all time favourites.

Oliver Nelson Septet - Stolen Moments - YouTube

It's hard to believe that the same guy did this.

Is that the original LP mix or the same version as on the first CD release?

Apolgies for the appearance of Noel Edmunds but I really fancied this lady at the time and I liked the music too.

The new version of Hot Rats is from the 1969 analog master so yes it's the LP mix.

That's a must buy then. Don't get me wrong I love both versions but the original is a must have on CD before I wear out my LP.
