The GREAT Neil Young
Just totally into him at the moment: playing Rust Never Sleeps and On The Beach non-stop. The guy is better than Dylan for me Well, at least his equal anyway.
All we need now is for his albums to be remastered. Its not happening though as far as I know
His guitar solos are the best i've ever heard

Couldn't agree more! Zuma has to be my favourite album, even if it's just for Cortez the Killer.

The king is dead, but he's not forgotten. Hey Hey my my is amazing. The guitar sounds SO rough (electric version). How does 1 man create so much quality? He's definitely up there with Prince, Dylan, Bowie and VanMorrison as the most talented solo artist of all time. Honourable mention for Joni Mitchell though :-)

I've only got 'Harvest' and 'Weld' (Crazy Horse live)
Love them both, Weld is awsome - when 'hey hey, my my' kicks in you know they mean business.
Decided against buying the 'Arc Weld' vesrsion though.

The CD version of On the Beach I picked up is remastered they reissued quite a few albums not too long ago.

'Weld' is one of my favourite live albums....it just sounds so, er, loud. Really captures a band at the top of their powers.

After the Goldrush is on the album of that name. Personally it's my favourite Neil Young album. Harvest is great, prefer the vinyl to my DVD-A copy. Rust never sleeps, American stars and Bars, Live Rust, and Comes a time are my other favourites.

Pat Metheny, great guitarist!! For my sins I quite like Jazz rock (we all have our problems! )and he along with Beck really stand out. I don't mine Satriani's guitar playing but I don't like his stuff so.............. Same with Lukather really. The latters a real wasted talent. Great guitarist playing AOR tripe!! Shame!!

Agree, Neil Young is among the best. A rare combination of a great writer and also a great lead & acoustic guitarist. (Not to mention the harmonica & piano)
Fantastic.
