Hi All,
I recently bought a second hand Project debut II on the classifieds here and hooked it into my new home cinema amp (I know, I know..sacrilige

) but it has a phono stage and I wasn't prepared to spend that much. I do have an old technics stereo amp up in the loft with a phono stage on it, so may be tempted to try it.
Anyways I've been around a few charity shops and online recently to start buying some stuff to feed the turntable (had about 20-30 albums stored away from years gone by already). So far I've bought:
New
Joe Bonamassa - Dust Bowl (sounds good but could do with more oomph)
Black Country Communion - self titled 2 LP (poor production of the album in my opinion)
Secondhand
Creedence Clearwater Revival - Hits (decent condition)
The Best of the James Gang (crackly and a couple of skips, expected better fro £8)
Love / Hate - Wasted in America (great condition for £1)
I'm always on the look out now for Vinyl. A work colleague is bringing in his old collection that's been in the garage to see if I want any of it !
Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I find on most of my records that the vocals (mid range stuff) also sounds like its a little distorted at higher volumes. Is that down to the cartridge/stylus/LPs ? I'm a complete Vinyl novice so excuse my ignorance !!
