Eva Cassidy - bum guitar note?

Is it me or just my CD that has an error?

On the Imagine album by Eva Cassidy the Danny Boy track between 1min 55 and 2min has a loud twang like the guitar string broke!

Anyone else noticed?

Most of the CDs that have been issued have been live recordings, or demos, which have been cleaned up for release, so it's quite possible that a string broke during a recording. They have basically hunted down and released every last recording they can find of Eva Cassidy, since she became so popular after her death, so professional studio recordings are limited to what she did in her short career.

Eva Cassidy died in 1996. If you're interested, there's a website here.

Sounds like a thumbnail caught a string or similar. A broken string doesn't twang as such. It's a duff note sound usually.
