Yeah, just downloaded his gig that was done for the Electric Proms, was really surprised to how many of his songs I already knew.. but you're right, definately going to need a few drinks to survive 2 hours of him!!

Dave Mchpherson, formally InMe frontman? They were a decent British rock band, albeit a bit teeny orientated.

The one and the same. Check out the albums after White Butterfly. They pretty much changed their whole sound. They've added an extra guitarist and they have a more technical sound now.

Tracks Id recommend are:

Saccarine Arcadia
Master Storm
Art of Moderation
Cracking The Whip
Bury Me Deep Beneath Your Skin

They really have become an amazing, mature band since the early days and definately not teen orientated anymore.

On a side note I completely forgot Black Spiders were playing Lock 42 in Leicester this Tuesday so ill be picking up my tickets tomorrow

Just got back from The Black Spiders, they were ace
Crowd was slightly underwhelming though and they seemed more energetic for the support (Viking Skull who were average).

If you've not heard these guys then please make sure you do. Good old dirty blues rock

Went to see Papa Roach at the O2 in Sheffield last night, which was all sorts of awesome. I haven't been to a gig that wild in quite a while and I woke up this morning with sore knees, back ache and a thick head (nowt new there, then)....I think 28 years of giging is starting to catch up with me.

His album was the album of the year for me last year , just a shame that he needed to find a "clone" to reproduce it live .

If Myles had sang it in his own style the gig would have been a thousand times better IMHO

I was asked to do a video review on the way out ,and if I'm honest I couldn't find a positive thing to say

Just back from second Iron Maiden show of the week. Wish I was doing more of the tour now. Show are superb. Love the setlist. Band are on peak form. Well worth a little deafness and loss of voice.

Saw Black Country Communion at the weekend. One of the best gigs I have been to in a long time especially as they were supported by MSG - one of my long time favs!!!

Herman Rarebell on drums, Pete Way on bass (for some songs) so snippets of UFO and Scorpions along the way

BCC finished off with a great set - just hope there is a live album in the pipeline as I am sure it would be a cracker!!!

Although the sound was great live, I would have to say the production on their latest studio offering BCC 2 was dreadful!!!! Very flat sound and possibly one of the worst CD recordings I have heard

Saw Deacon Blue in Liverpool last night. Highly recommended. They played a lot of the stuff from the Raintown and World Knows Your Name albums which is good as they're my favourites. Highlights must have been Real Gone Kid and Fergus Sings The Blues. If you're a fan of the eighties and you get the chance, go see them.
